Many Moons After.

Many moons after,

We retrace the path we’d traveled together

To past seasons of falling leaves and cloudy skies

Of new beginnings and nervous laughter

With strangers we’d never met

Now friends we may never forget

A cliché but it does fly

Just see how quickly these many moons went by…

Many moons before,

If only we knew

That countless sunsets later

We’d be standing here

Basking in the glow of old friends meeting anew

Through many a-smile and many a-tear

The light from our hope burying our pain

Reveling in the after-glow again and again

Just see how quickly these many moons went by…

Many moons now,

We still make mistakes along the way

Of things we do and words we say

Yet the glory of it all remains the same,

we were all cleansed by our shame.

For we learned to have wisdom as a friend

Guiding our paths, leading us till the very end

We grew a lot in these many moons gone by…

Many moons tomorrow,

Lives colliding, lives intersecting

The sheer mystery, the miracle of a thought

That maybe somewhere, somehow

We were destined to cross each others' path

And now, we have these imprints

Engraved on the quilted fabrics of our hearts

So go on dear friends, into the wonderful wild

Live your dreams and kick up a storm

For many moons of 960 just went by.
